I just had an amazing day of racing. I started by qualifying 10th, and finished the heats in 3rd. The course was super technical, but lacking huge climbs. There were just a lot of transitions and corners to take into account while racing. In the end, I almost passed Caitlin Compton for second but didn’t quite make it. One of the best parts of the day was the hill about 2/3 of the way through the course where the APU guys were cheering. I was so excited to get that boost of energy partway and after that it was the final push for the finish. www.bsfnordic.com has race information from today, as well as more photos.
Pictured above is the start of the A final, with Holly Brooks in the foreground, Laura Valaas in the middle, and me in the background. 3 APU women in the A final!
Now it’s time to go to bed and get ready for an awesome classic race tomorrow, where it will be cold and hilly... I can’t wait.
