Silver Star race #1

Well the 10k skate is done.  Results can be found on Zone 4’s website here.  I had a solid race.  It was really hard, and I thought that because I got caught by Nicole DeYoung who started 30 seconds behind me I was not having a great race, but it turned out to be fine.  I was 9th over all, 6th american, and 1st U23.  I was the youngest in the top 10 by around 4 years, so that was good.  I think that I am a bit tired from all the racing, but looking forward to a sprint tomorrow!  It should be fun!

The photo above is of the house that I am staying in with half the team.  I thought it was a good illustration of some of the color schemes around Silver Star.  I am not sure who thought that salmon went well with dark kelly green, but they liked it enough to paint a house...

Here are a few more examples, both good and gaudy.
